ASEAN CG SCORECARD

Go Beyond Compliance with ASEAN CG Scorecard!

The ASEAN Corporate Governance (CG) Scorecard is among a number of major regional initiatives under the ASEAN Capital Market Forum, aimed at raising CG standards and practices in ASEAN and enhancing the visibility and investment profile of ASEAN public listed companies (PLCs), internationally. The OECD Principles of Corporate Governance (OECD Principles) were used as the main benchmark for developing the Scorecard, given its global acceptance by policy-makers, investors and other stakeholders. The assessment of PLCs based on the scorecard only relies on information which is publicly published and which is easily accessible and understood.

From its early year in 2012, ASEAN CG Scorecard has been published by Indonesia Financial Services Authority known as Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) in accordance to encourage Public Listed Companies in Indonesia to use the Scorecard as their benchmark and tool to improve their Corporate Governance (CG) best practices. By implementing the ASEAN CG Scorecard consistently, the Public Listed Companies could develop their CG disclosure policies and practices.

Objectives of the Training Program

To furnish training participants from Public Listed Companies with in-depth understanding of the ASEAN CG Scorecard so that the participants will be able to use it for enhancing corporate governance disclosure policy and practices in their companies. Also to enhance their knowledge about OJK Regulation Number 21 and OJK Circular Letter Number 32 (POJK No. 21 & SEOJK No. 32) about ‘Complain or Explain’. Hence, this hopefully will initiate improvement in CG practices of the PLCs.
