KAKI Programs

A. Declaration of Intent – Joining KAKI The first step in joining KAKI is for a company’s leadership to commit to policy of zero tolerance of corruption. By signing the KAKI Declaration of Intent, a company makes its public commitment to support ethical business and counter bribery.

B. Certification: Implementing Self-Evaluation and submitting the KAKI Checklist After signing the Declaration of Intent and joining KAKI, new member companies have 18 months to conduct a self-evaluation of their anti-corruption compliance and ethics program. Each member company measures its program against the principles set out in the 75-point KAKI Checklist, then provides a completed version of the Checklist and supporting documentation to the KAKI Secretariat. Companies can receive assistance from the Secretariat on conducting the self-evaluation and improving pieces of their anti-corruption compliance and ethics program.
